# Pampalo Docs > Documentation for Pampalo - Private Money ## Account When you create a pampalo account, you are creating and storing a passkey with PRF cabilities on your device, or in your password manager. You also generate an account secret. You use your passkey with PRF to encrypt your account secret, and Pampalo stores that encrypted secret in it's database against your passkey id. Your passkey ID is not traceable to you or your device (unless someone has your device). This means that if pampalo ever has it's database leaked or server compromised - all that is leaked is data encrypted with keys that you control. Pampalo is client side first with the intent of giving more power to all of its users. ## Building on Pampalo At the time of writing pampalo is not quite open source (but should be soon!). It is based heavily on [commbank.eth's](https://commbank.eth.limo) [repository and codebase](https://github.com/hooperben/commbank.eth), but uses convex as a backend/relayer manager. ## Pampalo the Company Pampalo Pty Ltd is a registered Australian Company (ACN 698162999) that makes software for people to use. All products and offerings are experimental and currently unaudited are in active development. Privacy guarantees, balances, and transactions may change or break without notice. Use only funds you can afford to lose. ## Private Money Pampalo's Private money is enabled by commbank.eth's Private Unstopple Money protocol and account model.
